Remaja dengan Down Syndrome

Salam

“preparing for adulthood (teenager)”

directly from google

Ini luahan hati seorang ibu yg mempunyai yg teristimewa (dgn IQ yg yg menghampiri insan normal).

She is actually taking driver education in school and so far is passing the course. She spends hours every night doing the homework required, homework it takes other students fifteens minutes..to do.. She is absolutely determined to drive a car..She is mainstreamed in a regular high school and longs to have friends who are in the normal population, to be one of them. She reads romance novels and yearns for a romance of her own, with a non-disabled boyfriend. This teenager has told her mother that she thinks people with Down syndrome are ‘UGLY’ and she doesn’t want to have it. She also says, ‘I HATE DOWN SYNDROME! I HATE BEING MENTALLY RETARDED! WHY CAN’T I BE LIKE EVERYONE ELSE?’

Hmm..bergetar rasa hati..

Terfikir utk meletakkan Hasif di sekolah aliran perdana, tapi bila membaca luahan hati one of the yg teristimewa ni membuatkan aku berfikir beratus2 kali..
